this amber lives up to it’s name with a nice color and off-white head. Dry with caramel and a hint of chocolate, but a bit too sweet in my opinon. Finishes clean with some lingering hops.

hazelnut brown color, strong pliable head. aroma of balanced hops and malt, more sweet than anything, and unassuming overall in its balance. the roasted malt flavors are solid, pleasent hop bitterness that comes through in the end but doesn’t linger or sting. thin in body, very sessionable.

The Dan Journal #113. Tasted 10/18/07. Filtered with an amber hue. Large ring of off-white head. Caramel rye toasty aromas. Medium bodied with a mild cola flavor. Moderate effervescence. Caramel and mild cola flavors. Slight yet well placed fruity note. Smooth easy drinkin. All night long.

Pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium off-white head with decent staying power. Thin rings of lacing. The aroma is evenly hoppy and malty. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with subtle malt undertones. Some tart fruit and caramel flavors as well. The finish is somewhat hoppy with touches of caramel malt and fruit in the aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of dark bread, carmel, light nuttiness and a hint of chocolate. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, carmel, some nuttiness and a hint of chocolate with a smooth malty finish.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a nice foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of caramel malt is about medium with some dry hops also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by some caramel malt as well as some dry hops. Body is above average with some good carbonation. Not bad but nothing extraordinary either.

Bottle. Poured a clear brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma was dusty and sweet. Nice flavor that finished with an enjoyable spiciness. Interesting amber.
