| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Red bodied amber ale with a one-finger white head. Biscuity malty sweet and decently hopped nose and flavor. Mildly bitter and well-balanced. A PNW classic! pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Taste is very TART. Slightly watery. It has some flavor, I just don’t love the flavor it has. Taste reminds me of melted ice in soda or really bland watery tea. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2007 A clearish maroon to brown pour with no lasting head. Looked darker than a standard amber, and the smell was mostly a light metal to it at first followed by light malt. Not too impressive on the pour or smell, but the taste was better, however. Good rich sweet maltiness, with very light hop flavor and bitterness to it. Overal, not bad, but not my favorite amber either. Worth a try if you like ambers. AndyHasFins (24), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Had this for the first time last night when my neighbor dropped one off to try. I loved it. Instantly one of my new favorites. Nice color, very nice aroma, nicely hopped, but not over-powering, with a nice sweet finish. Regretted that I only had one in the fridge to drink! | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Pours amber w/ a shallow creamy spattered froth. Head retention is short lived yet produces a nice full ring of lace and residual spattered islands. Aroma of malted biscuits. Medium nectar w/ soft like cotton residual effers. A malty backbone supports a mildly sweet biscuit flavor. The finish is brisk and bittered perfectly leaving a lingering malty sweetness. I like this better than Fat Tire by a mile. jmcguire1969 (149), Lafayette, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2007 This is one of the better ambers I’ve had in a while. Aroma has a nice mellow malt and slight fruit smell to it. The flavor has a quiet hop flavor and bitterness to it that overpowers the malt to my liking. There’s a bit of a dusty flavor here...not sure what that is. All and all a good beer. mstockton (186), Rochester, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2007 In my opinion, somewhat of a standard amber colored microbrew with medium hops and decent flavor. Light head that went away after a few minutes of pouring into a glass. Drinkable and of nice quality, but nothing terribly unique.
