| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2007 The aroma has toasted malt, toffee, corn, caramel, and grassy hops. The appearance is deep amber with a two finger head. The flavor is like the aroma with the emphasis being toasted toffee malt. The palate is smooth and the aftertaste is nutty and toasty with bitterness. Overall it’s good but not fantastic. JohnnyJ (1321), Carlsbad, California, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 20, 2007 This looks better than the offering, to me.... Pours a deep, dark amber into the glass with a nice frothy off-white head, minimal retention and webbed lacing. A nose permeates of Circus Peanuts (the candy) and confectioner’s sugar. The flavors are extremely unilateral, somewhat bland, and have (maybe?) some biscuit with (maybe?) an airy sugar... not complex enough to be labeled toffee or caramel.... The finish is as nondescript as the flavor... (maybe?) some bready hops... light citrus/sugar effervescence. The mouthfeel is very thin and non-complex. This feels very unilateral to me... not a whole lot going on. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Bottle at Pub 500 in Mankato MN...the best brew for sale in the house. Essentially, it’s amber, a bit yeasty, mildly fruity. Not a lot of real noticeable flavor but a smooth, easy swallowing, unoffensive choice. Especially in Mankato. travita (1921), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 23, 2007 Bottle, pours with almost no head, mellow brown color. Smells sweet and a bit citrusy and hoppy. Low carbonation, with a thinnish mouth feel. Good malty flavor with a bitter finish. Not stellar, but a solid choice, would recommend.
