Clear medium brown-amber, with a sticky tan head. Big, expressive nose of dry malt accented by citrus. Light-bodied yet intensely flavored, with flavors that are similar in character to the nose. There’s a salty/acid sensation that makes the mouth water, but little real bitterness. Finishes fairly long and uncompromisingly dry. Proves you can have flavor without heaviness, and interest without bitterness. Good sessioner.

12oz bottle: Pours to a clear darkish amber colored body with a small beige colored head that quickly fades to a small ring around the outside of the glass. The aroma is mild, at best, showing hints of toasted grain, caramel, and light sugary malts, along with hints of floral/grassy hops. The taste is also mild and inoffensive, showing flavors of caramel & toasted malts, light cereal, some sugary medium roasted malts come through, as well as some bitter, though mild in levels of intensity, citrus & floral hops. Light bodied, medium carbonated, finishes a bit sweet, though not overly so. A pretty standard amber.

12 oz bottle from Secret Santa. Nice clear amber color with easily stirred up carbonation. Toasty-nutty malts. Very clear amber beer aroma with low level spicy hops. Toasted grain flavor with some lightly sticky malt underneath. Spicy hops with hints of citrus. Semi-dry finish with hints of sweetness at the finish. Semi-dry medium body. A fair and drinkable amber.

Pretty good amber ale. Has a nice full taste to go along with a perfect dark amber color. It’s a big tasting ale and is perfect for sipping on. Also, a great value for the price. Just wish they weren’t twist offs.

in bottle. amber in color with excellent head retention. Aroma of caramel with a twist of apricots. Delightfully full body, with chocolate and caramel flavors. floral finish develops as beer warms.

Bottle Nose of caramel with some skunkiness; medium brown with a small off-white head; tart malty flavor with a bit of hops in the finish. 5/3/7/3/12/3.0 12 oz bottle from Trader Joes. Nose of caramel, light floral hops, and a faint vanilla note. Clear rusty brown with a medium, glass lacing light beige head. Flavor is caramel malt, wheat toast, and a bit of light bitterness for a finish.

thanks Omar, had on march 12’06 at Aboteens ....this is real simple...has some subtle bitterness...cool and refreshing but nothing here...the hottest things were the ladies in the hot tub.... .. ..but this just shows you that amber ales are the bore. this is ranked 4th and was completely forgettable.

Fantastic aroma, just a shame about the rest. Raisin, caramel, toffee, fruit on the nose. Flavor is quite malty with some astringent hop tang. Not smooth enough to my taste and ends a little thin. Lacks balance. A shame cos the aroma is badass. Not bad by any means but not great.
