A lovely malt aroma wafted up from the glass, and I just knew that I’d like this beer. The taste was quite similar to the aroma, but with a suggestion of what might be burnt coffee thrown in. Mouthfeel is quite right, with a prototypical amber ale finish. Bragesnak (2276), Aarhus, Denmark

Semi-dry finish with hints of sweetness at the finish. Semi-dry medium body. A fair and drinkable amber. leems (149), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2009 This orange/amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and a floral citrus aroma. There is a slightly carbonated piney malt flavor, with some hop bitterness at the finish. Good but not remarkable. Soonah (940), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2009 Poured dark amber, with lots of brown. It was clear with a nice white to off-white head that produced average lacing. The aroma had light hints of smoky, roasted malts and some citrus. The flavor had citrus and some sweet malt with what could have been a touch of chocolate malts. The mouthfeel was thin, dry and somewhat metallic. Refreshing at first and then it became a bit of a chore to drink. bluemooner (237), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
