You can really smell the hop, much more than in most ambers. The taste has some sweet carmel to begin, but balanced well with hops. Overall a very easy drinking beer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2006 Nice deep amber color with a thin, quickly-dissipating head. Tastes more like an English bitter with high malt profile and a light touch with the hops. Refreshing but nothing to seek out. Finish is average and non-descript. A pleasant aroma, slightly hoppy. A semi-sweet, medium bodied taste. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Medium-bodied some slightly sweet caramel accents nicely balanced by the lovely aroma hops that don’t add much bitterness. This really is an amber to my taste. 020406 thoreaubred (42), Seattle, Washington, USA

Or maybe I’m just expecting too much. In general I’m not that impressed by this brewery. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Taste is packed with maltiness, caramels, citrus, and floral tones. Just the right amount of hops in the finish that is present in an excellent amber ale. Sweet malty aroma. Dark amber inc olor with a firm thumb thick white head. Watery fore-smooth caramel malt follows-watery finish. Not much flavor here.
