| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Bottle. Another pretty pour-dark almandine body with a thin foamy head. Nose-nice sweet malt with notes of wood and chocolate. Taste-mild bakers chocolate, powder, cherry, wood, some lactic qualities, and just a hint of tobacco. Very nice! This may be the best AA I have evr had. This would be just an excellent session beer. AmazonMatt (285), Panama
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Drank out of a bottle. Was hoping for the Pale Ale, and instead got the Amber. It isn’t as good, with sweeter malt and less hops with a less full body. Try the Pale Ale instead. fly (1333), austin, Tejas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2005 Fine or fair or fairly fine or perhaps sampled on one of my bad mood days where even though it’s got the malt and hops aplenty for such as an amber ale, I was thinking of the glories of the west coast and it made me sad and I wnted more. I wanted more and if I had more I would probably still want more and I’m a bad person if you don’t know this already. argo0 (7018), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2005 (12oz bottle) Crystal clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, fruity, light caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, floral, fruity, light caramel, earthy. Light-medium body, medium acidity. The acidity helps offset the sweetness. Very nice for what it is. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2005 On Tap at Bittercreek Ale House in Boise. A friendly amber ale with aromas of cherries, cola, and mild wheat tones. It is brown in color with a light brown head. It has lots of carbonation and a thin feel. It isn’t as bitter as other ambers, and was refreshing following the Rogue Charlie 1981. Overall, a sweeter amber ale and one that I will revisit occasionally. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 16, 2005 Bottle-Seattle: A nice dark Amber, sweet with some floral/pine hops. Better than the Redhook Amber I just had. A bit too sweet but still good. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Nice coloration. Very heavy caramel in the taste which is almost overwhelming. Crystal 120L malt out the ying yang? Which I’m probably wrong about. Nice foamy head.
