Taste is slightly bitter, with hints of chocolate caramel, and notes of sweet candy. Leaves your mouth feeling full of flavor, the most drinkable amber I’ve experienced. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2009 From the second I poured this I knew I would love it. Very nice deep deep amber - sort of a mahogony - with a large light tan head that simmers down fairly quick and lots of micro suspension that even after 5 minutes is starting to settle at the bottom of my glass. The aroma is strong and very full - lots of rich malts, a bit of caramel and, now, not that it’s going to change my opinion - faint sweat (here and there. It’s not me, I checked...). Taste is a nice blend of odd malts, background bitterness and the smallest hint of alcohol...not even sure if it’s there. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth with good carbonation, malty middle and finish. Weak but sharp bitterness. Light medium to medium bodied. Awsome drinking beer - I just wish I had more. teamrassas (26), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Solid amber ale. Poured medium brown with a thin head and nice hop aroma. Mildly sweet and well balanced biterness make this beer a great session beer BenDover (128), Texas, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Something odd about the aroma, but I can’t place it... wet grass maybe Pretty mild taste, sorta has a grassy/tea like finish. Watery mouthfeel. So-so. joeneugs (341), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2009 I think this beer is slightly underrated. It pours a reddish dark amber with a small off white head. Aroma is of overripe fruit, yeast, and is slightly metallic. The taste is quite complex for the style with berries, toasted malt, caramel, and some slight coffee-like bitterness. This is a well made amber that goes from toasty to almost roasted in the finish. Very sessionable. Beardface (1018), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 10, 2009 12 oz bottle. Dark amber pour with a bit of a light red hint to it. Aroma is very malty, quite a bit of caramel with some light earthy hop scents as well. The flavor is mostly caramel as well with some light floral and earthy hop notes. Another mediocre year round offering from Full Sail.
