Commercial Description:
The best selling Amber in the Northwest. It's a great tasting malty sweet beer that has rich amber hue, a full body, and a spicy floral hop finish. This American style amber ale is brewed with: 2-row Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts and is hopped with Mt. Hood and Cascade hops

Full amber coloring. Grainy and pretty hoppy, but right on schedule for what I was expecting. This rating may be somewhat high overall, but this beer turned out to be exactly what I wanted at the time, when i didn’t know what it was I wanted. After finishing, I adjusted it down slightly

Moderate hoppy aroma with adecent bubbly head that fades fairly quickly. The bear is clear and light orange in color. LIght and bubbly on the tongue with so-so mouthfeel. Lightly bitter and sweet, with a modest up-front hoppy flavor and a mild bitter aftertaste that quickly fades. The piping and graphics on the new label is way better than the one in the picture.

Light orange tan head, strong aroma with hints of cognac and spice. Deep maroonish brown appearance, though not cloudy at all. Taste is comfortably strong but not at all overwhelming, sort of a typical ale taste with traces of cognac and wood. Lingering aftertaste, overall an enjoyable beer

Bottle Burnt orange, translucent, mediocre off-white head, lattice like lacing, soft carbonation.   Burnt straw nose, slight ashtray, mild malts.   Immediate burnt grass appearance, fades quickly.   Otherwise malty with a light hop kick.   Average mouthfeel, a bit better on the body.   Minor fruity twang, metallic bite, and earth at the exit.   Not as enjoyable as I remembered.

Bottle Pours a clear dark copper color. Very small tan head and thin lacing. Plenty of rich malty woody flavors balanced fairly well by moderate citrusy hops. Fairly acidic bitter notes as well. Feel is fairly heavy and rich. Lingering woody aftertaste and some hops bitterness.

Orange amber with a thick light moka head. Sweet caramel in aroma, with yeasty notes. A tad oxidized. Sweet malt with woody nutty notes, but definitely oxidized. Light hops and buttescotch coming in finish. Medium bodied. Bought in Summer 2004, SF.

Clear and amber(what do ya know) with a small but sustained white head. Aroma of bread and caramel. NIce and chewey with a pleasing hop presence that lingers on the tongue. A small bitter finish. Flavors of toffee and malt. Well balanced and well made.

Thanks to Buck Dich for this. Pours hazy copper/ruby with big white head. Aroma of malt, some hops, fruit, cognac, brown sugar. Tastes malty, with solid caramel malt backed up with toffee, caramel, and a smooth finish. An awesome amber ale. I’ll take a case.
