Clear amber color with a light tan head. Aroma is sweet, hints of caramel and some. Starts sweet with malt, but balances nicely with the cascade hops at the end.

Pours a nice looking amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a sour malt and some weak bitterness. Flavor is mostly malt based. Sour earthy malts and a little bitterness. Nothing exceptional.

Poured a dark copper color with a thick off white head. The aroma had a malty sweetness coupled with fruity hops. the flavore had nice caramel sweetness with roasted malt undertones. Hops were slightly fruity with an almost grapefruit tartness. It felt a little thin in the mouth, but went down quite easy.

Big bready malty semi-sweet flavors initially then a touch of drying hops come into play. Could put down a few of these.

One heckuva beer. Amber isn’t my favorite style, but this one is awesome. Malty and sweet, it’s a treat.

(12 oz bottle: Trader Joe’s in Pacific Beach, CA) Average tasting amber ale, sweet, sugary, toasty, rather grainy like corn, and balanced by a mildly bitter hops. If the malt profile was less like sweet corn, I might like this better. The nose is toasty but also grainy with a slight sourness that doesn’t show up in the flavor. Medium bodied, pretty average mouthfeel for the style. Standard amber color and fully clear in appearance. Off-white head requires a vigorous pour to get more than half an inch, but a thin layer is retained throughout the session. Various shapes of patchy lacing remain on the glass. Meh, it’s okay I guess. Drinkable, but not very interesting or worth actively seeking out.

Clear amber with a nice eggshell white head and nice lacing. Aroma is pine resin with some malt extract. Taste is a lot of the same, silky smooth with a bit of an alcohol kick.
