Damn, this beer pours a majestic mahogany body and a supple but full creamy tan head. The aroma is certainly nutty but one is unable to overlook the pulse of the hops, reminds me of cantaloupe. The flavor is also nutty, woodsy, full with melons, apples, notes of peach; Very nice spicy crisp bittering and dry finish. The palate is silky and buttery, this is a terrific Amber ale!

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 8, 2003 Pours a medium mohogany. Pretty thick tan head. Medium spicy hop nose with dark malts mixed in. I dont care for chocolate malts in the Amber style. This not a bad beer at all. Its just not what I like in this style. A little to hearty. Bordering Brown Ale, which is a style I never buy. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is mostly bready, with a little cherry fruity goodness. Flavour is moderate - nothing special. Very nice mouthfeel though.
