Classic, deep, clear amber color with small off-white head and some sparse, spotty lacing. Nicely rich, roasted malty flavor. Notes of wood, faint spice, and chocolate. Clean, crisp hop character making for a satisfying finish. Smooth and easy drinking quality. Solid, if not spectacular brew. Enjoyable.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 18, 2009 This poured an amber cherry color with a decent amount of head and good carbonation.
It is not much on the nose, a bit of sweet caramel malt aromas.
Nice bold caramel malt flavors, sweet cherry a nice hop finish to balance it out.
Medium bodied, just the right amount of carbonation. This all makes for a solid, well balanced, drinkable amber ale. screigh (262), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Pours a nice red color. Little to no head. Light malt aroma. Taste is light malt. Not much here. A middle of the road amber. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing standout. skoisirius (584), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Clear amber with a soapy lace - nose of brown sugar, dark bread, light tartness - medium body, moderate carbonation - a bit of hop bitterness makes way for smooth crystal malt flavors, a bit of biscuity character, some caramel, toasted cereal grains - gets a little tart, fruity, and tangy on the back end, and light hop bitterness returns - clean and refreshing - sure, amber ales can be boring, but I’ll give credit to a decent one. fata2683 (917), Panama City, Florida, USA

Brown sugar and doughy body, lightly spiced in the finish. Not bad, but doesn’t stand out in anyway to me. Fratto (751), Arlington, Texas, USA
