WOW! This was worth every penny of the $6 I paid for it at market of Choice. Pours a very dark black with just a shade of brown foam around the edges, that fades into a film, appearance is quite dark and oily with a very modest woody vaniilla nose when it is chilled but warms into a very big nose. The flavor is immense and just explodes in your mouth coating it with vanilla flavors and you must really like bourbon to enjoy this stout. I happen to love good bourbon and this has a definite alcohol presence that burns slightly as it goes down just like a good taste of bourbon wood and it is all there in the flavor, with a perfectly roasted taste, lots of chocolate and vanilla, some maple syrup and a finish that is the best I have ever gotten from this style, a huge taste of coconut and the a linger aftertaste that lasted a good couple of minutes. This is a very impressive output from Full Sail that I will definitely want to pick up again and try with others. I wish I could rate the palate higher.

22 oz bottle, from Liquid Solutions (I think). Pours dark brown, opaque with a smallish beige head. Roasty, bourbon barrel, raisin, bitter herbs, bitter chocolate, alcohol and more. Full body, gentle carbonation. Good.

2006 vintage courtesy of BückDich. Deep, deep brown with beige head. Aorma is sweet malts, dark fruit, cocoa, bourbon, and soy sauce. Absolutely amazing flavor. Chocolate, dark fruits, milky, vanilla, roasted, bourbon, and some sweet caramel. Sliky smooth, soft, and full bodied. Delicious!

22oz bottle given to me as an extra by 11026. awesome!.....poured pretty dark, close to black with a thin wispy light brown head.... nose had equal parts bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla..... flavor had a strong assertive bourbon component w/ some charred burnt alcohol. this one was overly infused with bourbon from the barrel therefore lacking the cohesiveness with the base beer. somewhat thin mouthfeel with lively carbonation....wasn’t too big a fan of this unfortunately.

22oz bottle shared by pepsican. Thanks. poured a deep dark brown color with just a bit of orange light coming through around the edges. Aroma was of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, alcohol, and raisin (roughly in that order of intensity). Medium to full bodied and boozy with a warm splash of alcohol. I tasted vanilla, bourbon, toffee, and a dash of cinnamon. The aromas and flavors imparted by the barrel aging dominated, but this was still a decent beer IMO.

Big thanks to franksnbeans for this one. Shared with many. Black pour with a thin tan head. Strong bourbon aroma. Flavor was bourbon, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak, bourbon, and maple syrup. Got to be a bit much after a bit, very rich. Being a bourbon fan I liked it.
