Nice and dark with a big tan head. Aroma was chocolate with some roasted hazelnuts. Smooth and flavourful throughout before a semi-dry finish.

Nitro @ Brewery - Nicely balanced, just what I like in a stout. Creamy and rich dark chocolate with some roasted coffee notes. Bittersweet and dry in the finish. Enjoyable.

(on nitro at the brewery) Creamy tan head atop a black/cola body. Aroma is not very strong -- medium sweet, roasty. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, some coffee, nutty, chocolate. Much sweeter than bitter. Creamy, smooth, ligt-medium body.

3/19/04 Pilsner Room at Riverplace Poured a very black, totally opaque, with a thick creamy tan nitro head that hung on all the way to the bottom of the glass. Nice mild roast malt aroma, with flavor to match, smooth coffee front to back with a very easy finish. A good tasting and very drinkable stout, i wish they bottled this.

Tap@The Pilsner Room, Portland. Pretty decent stout, roasty with some hammy bacon sort of flavour, a bit smoky i guess, good length, nice roasty malts.

Exploding coffee flavors in the palate. Also some nice burnt flavor. Smokey. Needs to make its mind up about being a dry stout or not. Big creamy head, but a weak body. I liked it.

Fairly simple (dare I say bland?) stout. Good dark purple color with a white head. Moderate roasted aroma, but the body is thin amid the typical complement of stout flavor hints. (on tap, Full Sail Pilsner Room, Portland)
