Commercial Description:
Lizama Summer Weizen is brewed with 35% wheat malt. This smooth, drinkable wheat beer gets its color from de-bittered chocolate malt. German Hersbrucker hops give it a nice balanced bitterness and classic character. Lizama promises that each pint will be full of flavor and refreshment. 5.0% ABV, 22 IBU 22 Available July 2008 until gone.

On tap at the Brewery. Pours dark mahogany with a smooth off-white head. Nose of clove, not as big on the banana front as some of them. Body was a bit lighter, didn’t quite have the wheat smoothness, a bit lighter bodied and light estery finish. Decent beer overall, I just thought the body was a bit thin and watery.

On Tap at Full Sail Brewery, Hood River. Pours out a hazy brown topped with a white head. Aroma of spice, clove, and wheat. Tast of wheat some of the spice and a little hop. Not bad.

On tap at Full Sail Pilsner Room in Portland, OR--Poured a murky brown-olive body with a small white head. Chewy, wheaten, mildly banana nose. Nutty, gritty, yet watered down in finish. Easy to slam back, but kind of boring. Still not bad.
