BuckeyeBoy (1635), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 28, 2009 On tap Full Sail Bend Pours out a cloudy copper/orange topped with a small head. Aroma of a nice belg yeast and some pitfruit sweetness. Tast was a little spice and more of the sweet pit fruit. HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Feb 19, 2009 tap at Toronado. This beer needs to warm up quite a bit before it develops a Belgian characteristic. Aromas are faint of some toffee and some dark fruit. Flavors are fairly muted, but one gets some dough, dark fruit and caramel. Essentially a fairly muted interpretation of this style. Where is their Vesuvius? Bring it back. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 8, 2008 Tap @ Full Sail PIlsener Room. Hazy orange brown color, short head. Kind of belgian double but with loads of spices and liquorice. Overdone in my opinion, and body is too thin to handle the spices. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Apr 6, 2008 On tap at the 2008 Cheers to Belgian Beers event. Pours dark amber with a tall beige head. Soft caramel flavor, light hint of berry and raisin. Hops gave a sort of veggie green flavor that didn’t sit well with me and made this a bit to bitter which kept the malts on the back burner a bit. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Mar 12, 2008 Draft. Caramel color with a light tan head. yeasty, light spice aroma. Malty, caramel, light fig, light spice flavor. Medium body. Lingering yeastiness, malt, and light fig. Missing a lot of the fig/plum/raisin I like, but still very nice. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Feb 29, 2008 Draft at Toronado. Reddish brown colored. Aroma is grain, dark sugar, raisins, caramel, Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, fairly sweet, quite drinkable. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 28, 2008 On tap at waterfront brewery at McCormick & Schmicks. Poured a deep copper-amber body. Little to no head, clear, dark body. Sweet, fruity sugar nose. Thin initial flavor, but nice complex fruity and full finish. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 21, 2008 Brewmaster Reserve Tap @ Full Sail...
