Pour is copper with a thin white head...smell is rich and malty sweet...taste is biscuity and malty up front, with some nice bitterness coming up at the finish...

Classy golden body that fits in like a suit at the Apollo. Nose is floral with strong fruity esters off the yeast. Flavour was slightly soapy with orangeblossom and rose hips.

2006 vintage via Dave. The beer pours to a glowing orange body with a think creamy looking off-white head. The aroma is grassy and floral toasted hops. The flavor is basic bitter grassiness. Toasty malts. The palate is bitter and grassy feeling. Lightly drying. Almost tastes a little stale.

Bomber from 2006. Clear amber body, small tan head. Dry caramelly aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Quite bitter flavor that starts with resinous plant stem, lemon rind and grass clippings leading to a basic dry carmel backing. The finish has a resinous sappy plant stem thing going on. Big bitter hop flavor but it’s not all that interesting. If you’re into bitter beers then this is your bag.

pours a nice orangish brown glow w/ a beautiful thick off white head w/ nice lacing. Heavily orange aroma w/ some light roast grain notes smell is lightly sweet and a bit hot. Palate is light and easy. Not much to it. Flavor is very boring. A dry hoppy finish on top of a basic light piney flavor. I can do with out this one.

On tap at the Horse Brass pub in Portland, OR. Light, citric, orangey aroma with some biscuity maltiness and some mild toastiness in the nose. Transparent copper color with a frothy off-white/yellowish head. Citrus, sweet, orange bitter hopped start. Toasted malt middle with a bitter, grapefruity hoppiness to finish. A fair amount of dryness is present in this as well. A bit too dry for my palate. Still, not too bad.

Bottle at 2006 Chromefest: Poured orange with a medium sized white head. Mild malt and light coffee/chocolate aroma. Mild grassy hops in the flavor with medium bitterness int he finish. Odd for an ESB I guess but I did enjoy it.
