DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 3, 2006 Pours amber with a medium white head. Smells very odd yeasty smell of barnyard is present with some molasses notes and floral and grapefruit smells as well. Citrus and yeast flavors come through in the taste. Seems hoppy at first but flavor becomes very yeasty. Very weird ESB not my thing.
BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA May 22, 2008 Decent and drinkable, but not what I was looking for. This has a lot more fruitiness than I was expecting, with a really light caramel malt body, I just don’t feel the hop profile really matches everything else in the beer. Light sweet fruits, mixed with a sharp citrus hop bitterness. ABUSEDGOAT (1882), California, USA Mar 22, 2008 Hazy amber, moderate head with solid lacing and retention. Aroma is fairly fruity with some lesser caramel notes. Medium to light bodied, moderate to low bitterness. Very drinkable, solid flavors. joohefner (379), Isla Vista, California, USA Jan 17, 2008 dark golden amber with small off white head. caramel sweet aroma with a light orange tanginess. medium body and crisp carbonation. rich caramel flavors with a good bitterness. the beer has a pine resin bitter finish. pretty good beer, nothing too complicated, but simple and balanced bhensonb (2832), Woodland, California, USA Jan 6, 2008 Bomber. Something like a caramel aroma backed by citrus hop. Hard to get a good smell, as the foam exceeds the liquid. Hazy gold tinged amber color. The head is huge, but it’s not lacing much. (It did lace a lot after the foam reduced 2/3s) Medium body with sharpish carbonation. Mild caramel with a bit of harsh floral and/or citrus hop. Pretty tasty. Waters out a bit at the finish, but it’s even more bitter at that point. Probably a bit extreme for most UK residents. Angeloregon (1823), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 1, 2008 Yeah! Tasted in 2000 and loved ever since! Poured a copper amber body with a thin white head. Good lacing. Sweet citrus presence. Malty as well with a sweet bite to it. Sessionable as sin.
