Bomber. Nose is fairly weak - just not a lot going on - I get some pine and a little fruitiness, but just a light aroma. Falvor is all about pine, spruce needles and woodiness. Starts light and the pine is approachable - like spruce needle tea - finish is assaultive bitter wood. Good, drinkable beer (particularly with spicy food) but needs some balance.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a large, creamy off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain, straw), heavy hop (perfume, pine, spruce, resin, citrus), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple, pear, peach pineapple, and apricot. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity, and harsh bitterness.

22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a hazy amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light, tiny spotted lacing. Aroma is pine and herbal hops. Flavor is quite bitter and somewhat astringent. Lots of pine hops in this one. Doesn’t linger too long in the finish. Medium body. If I were to lay back an IPA for a few months, this would be the one. At the moment there is very little malt presence. Still, a decent IPA.

Dark orange with a fizzy off white head. Hop resin and caramel aroma and taste with some buttery notes on the back end. Decent bitterness throughout.

Floral and pine smells in the nose. First sip is pretty harsh, hop wise then it fades off. Could be more balanced.

From a 22oz. bottle poured into a Shaker at 42°. Color is a golden orange with good carbonation and a thick off white head. Aroma is bright with hops that give a citrus, pine and grass scent with just a touch of toffee in the back. Taste is dry and citric. Starting with a medium body it goes down creamy with a sharp bitterness on the end. Finish jumps in with a malty with a mild sweet feel then a big hop flavor of citrus and bold bitterness. After taste is dry with the bitterness building and hanging in the back of your mouth. Overall its a well done IPA, good flavor without overdoing the citrus.

Bottle. Rich caramel colored beer with a light tan head. Big grapeofruit and light earthy aroma. Grapefruit and orange flavor with malt and a light floral note. Medium bodied. decent bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with a bit of pithiness and light earth.

8/13/2009 on tap at papago. bronze-y amber pour with a slight haze. it’s capped by a soft foamy light tan head and clingy spots of lace. sweet malty nose yet dry, spicy and almost husky... along with caramel, earthiness, a touch of pine and some grapefruit. initial blast of toffee-like malty sweetness is helped out by dry and bitter hoppy goodness... spicy, earthiness, citrus and just a touch of sweet pine. medium bodied, prickly and crisp. 7/4/7/3/15/3.6
