I like these summer IPAs. Light on the mouth, refreshing on the tongue. This one from Full Sail is unique in that the malts are as pleasurable as the hops. Nicely balanced.

POurs amber. Nose is loads of citrus, grapefruit, caramel. Flavor is bitter citrus hops, smooth carmale, slightly unbalanced. A bit more harsh bitter.

Man, this is some seriously bitter stuff - at first, the bitterness is pleasant, but their grapefruit and orange pith character becomes hard to bear after a while, especially since the malts are semi-dry and biscuity - we need some stickier malt to balance all this dry bitterness out - a bit toasty, earthy and grainy - the underlying elements are enjoyable, but the bitterness just squashes it.

Bomber. Poured medium golden with an off-white, near beige head. Sweet oranges and honey rose over caramel in the aroma.. more juicy fruit and fresh floral character as it warmed up.. inviting. The flavor had honey and juicy grapefruit sweetness at the core with huge, decently-balanced bitterness around (spicy pine, grapefruit, and toasted earth).. finished with a helluva lot of citrus bitterness. Did I mention this was bitter on the palate?.. if not, it was.. the malts did their best to keep it in check, and came close.. too assertive in the end to be refreshing. Still a decent brew.

22 oz bomber. Amber ale with a lovelly, attractive ,thick, creamy off white head. Very substantial hoppy aroma to this one, not subdued, piney, grapefruit pepper. As for taste, like the aroma this does not spare the taste buds from the hop attack..grapefruit and pine forest. nice full palate, semi-dry finish with a great long lasting after taste. Good beer

Aroma: Big hops and malt aroma. Hops where awesome.
Appearance: Amber in color, Clear with a light head.
Flavor: A awesome hops flavor with a great malt backing. Lots of grapefruit like flavors.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Great Mouthfeel.
Overall: This was one killer Full Sail Brew.

22 oz bottle from Thriftway - Pours with a big, frothy head. Nice caramel color. Disappointing flavor, though. Tastes a bit like a hopped up Coors Light.
