Commercial Description:
Hangtime is brewed to celebrate the long days and warm nights of summer. This refreshing crystal (filtered) wheat ale has a bright golden hue and a crisp easy finish. It has a sweet malt flavor that comes from wheat malt. This light bodied ale is hopped with Brewers Gold hops. Their fruity character balances the malt sweetness and gives the beer a hint of citrus aroma and flavor. Hangtime Ale is a satisfying, easy drinking, summertime brew. Hangtime is available June to September.

Clear cider color appearance, no head or lacing, poor. Also this is very filtered which most wheat’s should not be. Aroma is that of an American wheat, light processed hop and grapefruit aroma. Flavor is sour, sweet and hoppy, not too much wheat detectable. Finishes dry and tart, very average. This is a weird American wheat style but it has the basics covered, good for them, I'm not having this one again.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately hoppy (pine, resin, grapefruit), lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, modeately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The hoppiest American Wheat I've ever encountered, to the point that this isn't really an American Wheat anymore. This is an APA. Not lacking in aroma or flavor, mind you, but these aren't my kind of hops and it's not the way I would choose for an admittedly offbeat take on the style to set itself apart from the pack.

Deep gold color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity and a touch sweet. A medium bodied wheat. Wheats are very evident in this beer, but they are balanced by some very citrusy hops. Lighter taste, but still has some flavor. Light and refreshing. Very drinkable. A nice summer seasonal from Full Sail. Well balanced. Smooth taste. A great summer beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A very average wheat beer. I did not expect much and therfore I was not disappointed. This is one of those beers that makes me say eh... Very boring and average for an american wheat.

The beer pours a pellucid golden amber color, the head minimal; frothy in texture and it vanishes quite quickly leaving a thin sheet of lace to cover the glass. Nose is citrus crisp, clean and fresh, somewhat sweet as is the start that is also thickly malt; top is skinny in its feel to the palate. Finish is sprightly acidic and the hops pleasant enough in their spicy presence, dry lingering aftertaste, and a nice drinkable beer, not great, but drinkable nonetheless.

Gold with fast fading white head.Nose is light banana and yeast.Light sweet wheat malt taste with unpleasant spiced note. I have to disagree, this finish is not clean, it has a lingering off bitter spice note which really detracts from the beer

Generously given a 3 for appearance for this golden bodied, thick creamy fluff headed am wheat. Invigorating aroma of wheat fielsd and a complimentary flavor. Eventually, a wave of hops rise and dominate in aroma and flavor. A nicely rounded out, moderately complex AM. wheat. The back bone of bitterness stands in favorable equipoise to the wheat.

bottle-I had very low expectations going into this brew, but i seemed to think it was better than the ratings give it. Its downfall was teh filtered appearance(BORING!)-lots of carbonation-big bubbles. flavor was very sweet, tasted like a lemon poppyseed muffin. smelled like grass, lemon and spicy hops. good flavor, but ratings are not very good due to the appearance. good summer quafer though on a hot New Mexico day!
