Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy light amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (herbs, grapefruit).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
A surprisingly easy-going, quaffing APA. IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA

Basic malty and fairly strong hop aroma.Something off in it though. Flavors are woody, cardboardy and piney hops. Kind of a mediciney note as well. Moderate carbonation, Moderately rich palate quite deep bitter trailer.
Nothing special.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Tap at brewery. Orange to medium amber in color. Scant white head forms and quickly fades to a ring leaving no lacing. Aroma is full of floral and citrus hop scents. Pleasingly bitter up front with citric hop bitterness that fades to a malty finish. Medium bodied. Quite nice. Bordering on an IPA. I thought the brewery described this as an ESB??? Regardless, this is a beer I could drink repeatedly and be quite happy. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2005 Flowery and slightly perfumy nose, a good bit of malt and straw, too; nice balance tilted towards smooth bitterness with fruity, light medicinal notes and grapefruit, rose pedal, and spruce poking through; some lingering bitterness; a pale on the verge of being an IPA. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2005 This Pale is incredibly full-flavored with a very dry character in the hops and a big full body to boot. Less citrusy than grassy, the hops here are perfectly selected to balance the flavor in the pale malt without the high IBUs of many IPAs. Great beer, lots of flavor and not a lot of bite. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2005 Thanks to SNOB for the bottle. Transparent yellow gold color. Citrusy Cascade-type aroma, some malt undertones. Slightly sweet nose, followed by the dominant flavor character of citrusy, slightly pine resinous Cascade hops. Malty flavors come through more as it warms. Residual sweetness with a tinge of bitterness in the finish.
