he color looks like the standard Full Sail Imperial Porter. Nearly black and almost completely opaque with a lightish tan head that lasts quite long and laces well. Nice scents! The bourbon is not overpowering like I was expecting. In fact, many other notes from the aroma come out. Such as, chocolate, roasted coffee, burnt plums and some musty and woody notes. The bourbon provides a nice backbone as it gives the beer a lot of flavor but doesn’t take over any of the melted chocolate over coffee bean notes or the lovely vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, dirt and mocha notes. However, unfortunately, the bourbon takes away most of the wood notes. There were some wood notes but I was expecting more. Nonetheless, this beer is still a 5 in taste Lick all over your mouth lingering finish. Absolutely lovely.

This is the finest beer I’ve had. Full Sail took an already awesome beer and aged it in bourbon oak barrels and it came out even better. I don’t remember the alcohol percentage, but it had pretty some pretty good kick to it.

Aroma of roasted malt and bourbon. Small light brown head dark brown clear body. Flavor starts out sweet and finishes with bourbon. Long finish with a light hop bitterness. Good balance. Medium creamy body with soft carbonation.

Almond Joy in a bottle. "Some times you feel like a nut, some times you don’t". A brunette with black legs rode in with a heavily sweet offering - coconut. Hops get buried in the depth of the flavor. Finish is creamy and dense.

Dark black color. Small head. Aroma is malty, brown sugar and bourbon. A medium to full bodied porter. Malts are nutty, chocolate and fairly sweet. Lots of bourbon flavors, oak and smoke. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced. Very smooth. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Simply put: smooth, rich, chocolaty, whiskey, wood, sweet base, warming, very tasty.

RBSG 2004: Black with a small light brown head. Bourbon aroma. Starts sweet and gets sweeter as you swallow. Fizzy carbonation and slightly watery texture. The bourbon doesn’t dominate the beer.
