I had this several years ago before it was released and was told that it would probably not be released. The Headbrewer sent me an unmarked bottle and I can say nothing more then it was a heavenly experience to drink. Heavy, heavy whisky notes in the nose- smelled of straight Jack Daniels (which I believe were the casks they used). It was MUCH stronger then 7.2% though, I swear. Reid (1092), Salem, Oregon, USA

First thing I noticed was the wonderous whisky soaked aroma....butr a nice roasted malt profile is just underneath..very nice.
Great looking ale..darkest mahogany with a lovelly "coffee n' creme" coloured head.Leaves gorgeous lacing down pint glass.
WOW!!! what a marvelous flavour profil..first its the smooth , creamy chocolaty malts, then the great woody, smoked bourbon hits..wonderful..great aftertaste..
This beer is a dream on the palte..so damn silky smooth I couldnt believe it.
Overall this is a fantastic beer..best yet from Full Sail..this is much better than MacTarnahans bourbon porter..if you see this buy it quick, I hear its limited release.

Full Sail took an already awesome beer and aged it in bourbon oak barrels and it came out even better. I don’t remember the alcohol percentage, but it had pretty some pretty good kick to it. Nice scents! The bourbon is not overpowering like I was expecting. In fact, many other notes from the aroma come out. Such as, chocolate, roasted coffee, burnt plums and some musty and woody notes.
The bourbon provides a nice backbone as it gives the beer a lot of flavor but doesn’t take over any of the melted chocolate over coffee bean notes or the lovely vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, dirt and mocha notes. However, unfortunately, the bourbon takes away most of the wood notes. There were some wood notes but I was expecting more. Nonetheless, this beer is still a 5 in taste
Lick all over your mouth lingering finish. Absolutely lovely. jimbowood (970), Athens, Georgia, USA

Bourbon assails the senses, though smoothly, off the creamy tan foam on a dark body. Roasted malts first cross the palate with a light malt sweetness. then the flavors of bourbon soaked oak mingle and leave you with a bourbon dominated aftertaste. A definite warming ensues. Did they leave some bourbon in the barrel???? This is one brew which will age beautifully. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

I’d like someone to explain to me how a Baltic Porter isn’t a lighter version of an imperial stout. Blah, blah, blah chocolate. Blah, blah, blah coffee. Yeah, all that with a touch of cherries and smokiness. Real flavorful.
