From 22oz bottle. Pours black with a tall khaki head. Big roasty chocolate nose, slightly burnt. Flavor start with a bold dark chocolate front, earthy and bitter, lots of roastiness and a bit of earthiness towards the finish. Still fairly hopped up since it was just released, but will soft nicely in time. The hops make it feel a bit thin, but I think that is just a mental thing.

22oz bottle pours out a nice black topped with a tan head. A great aroma of sweet berries some roast and a little smoke. Tast of bitter chocolate and some vanailla. A pretty good brew. this baby would be great in a few years. I think I will put one away.

’07 bomber... pours a deep black with a 1/4" tan head. aromas of liquorice and roasted malts. medium body with notes of coffee, chocolate and the other standards... overall a very solid Imperial Stout, but sub par to the best ones out there.... could be bigger... it is a bit thin over the palate, but still extremely delicious and definitely recommended. It was a treat to find this one while on vacation in Montana, since it is unavailable back on the east coast.

22oz bottle. Nearly opaque brown-black with a thin film of light brown head. Astringent roast malt aroma, some acrid floral hops. Salty, roasty character up front, some citric hop presence. Chocolate, slight toast then manifest. Some alefruit, malty sweetness, and a slightly smokey roast component in the finish. Mouthfeel is a heavy medium.

Bottle: A rich dark black color, creamy head and thick spotty lacing. Nose of raspberry and chocolate, a creamy sweet cocoa roast level and mild bitterness, alcohol and astringency. Dusty plum and licorice with a hint of vanilla. The mouthfeel is creamy and rich, thick and warming but light in flavor for an imperial stout. Still refreshing and clean though. The finish is pleasant and caramelly with a hint of raisin and chocolate. Nice and mild imperial stout, would like the volume turned up a bit.

2008 Bottle - Smokey fruit aroma, bitter on the front end, bitter on the back. It probably didn’t help that this was the third Imperial Stout of the night, but this was totally sub-par blah. I haven’t been impressed with anything Full Sail in years...
