Bottle from South Bay Drugs. Appears as a very dark and black liquid with a small formation of foam but it will quickly retreat and vanish from eye sight. The aroma was of course a deep roasty malt profile and had a strong resemblance to a freshly brewed roast coffee. The drink is a mirror description of the nose and was only one notch up more in intensity of the coffee and dark malt. A decent and standard imperial stout that passes the grade.

draft @ uber tavern - thick and black with chocolate head fading nicely; coffee and roasted malts on the nose; slight bitter in both aromas and flavors; drinks thin but with a smooth, medium body finish; look forward to the BA version

2008 bomber bottle. Dark chocolate color is completely opaque. Roasty coffee and nuts on the nose, with just a touch of dark fruit and wine. Flavor is also roasted malts and coffee, really thick on the tongue. Not a completely dry stout, but very close. This would probably be fantastic on nitro.

At the BBB63 comes to Tampa gathering, thanks to jayMFg for the offering:

Opaque with a small tan head and some spotty lace. The aroma has notes of chocolate and bready malts, coffee, prune, resiny and peppery hops, and a hint of smoke. The taste is twangy and fruity with a chocolate background. The finish is smoky and spicy with some woody notes, a bit weaker than I hoped. The mouth feel is oily and medium-bodied, sprite around the edges. Nice but a tad short on the depth of palate.

Usually stay away from Full Sail brews as they always seem to disappointment me but this one is the best I have had from Full Sail. Pours dark and smooth with little CO2 as well as little head nice and roasty coffee flavor followed by a good balance of sweetness, good brew.

Black with an even thin tan head. Chocolate, light roast and alcohol on the aroma. Overall the aroma is pretty mild, but pleasant. Taste is very light for an imperial stout - very mild roast, some light cocoa notes. The taste kind of defies the aroma in that it’s so mild. Still, it’s easy drinking and smooth.

2008 Brewmaster’s Reserve, consumed fresh. Pours a dark chestnut brown with somewhat translucent edges. A medium sized, foamy tan head leaves decent patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma is all roast, with coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted barley taking center stage. A good dose of earthy hops add bitterness to the nose. Flavors continue down that path, with roasty chocolate and coffee dominating. It tastes very smooth, almost as if some oatmeal was introduced to the brewing process. There’s a good amount of IBU’s in this one. Medium-full bodied and very smooth. Easy drinking for the style. Solid brew.

2008 Bomber. Pours a deep viscous brown with a small soapy brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, malt, coffee, and burnt barley. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, fruit, licorice, nuts and powdered cocoa. The finish is dry and grainy with a cocoa like taste. Pretty good impy stout, but falls behind some of the big dogs.
