22oz bottle. Pours black with a thin, crisp, light brown head, no retention, specks of lace. Smells dark and roasty, semi-sweet. Tastes semi-sweet, roasty/toasty malty with a lingering sour malt after taste. Okay brew, not redefining the style or anything. Full body, semi-dry, thin feeling carbonation.

Bottle from Bevmo. Black with a tan creamy head. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate; similar taste. Decent, but not great.

My bottle (22oz) shared at ’Rudolf’s May 2008 Tasting’. Pours black with an average size diminishing light-brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, a bit of smoke, green resiny hops and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt, hops and chocolate. Earthy bitter finish. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel. Pretty, pretty good.

2008 DFW tasting. Bullzeye provided the goods as usual. Poured dark black without much head. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor of molasses, dark fruits, roasted malts. Coffee came out in the end as I had the last pour from the bottle.
