Dark brown. Some thin coffee aroma. Decent body with some thick and slightly toffeeish character. Decent balance but a thin finish. A rare disappointment.

Thisted tasting. Courtesy of After4eveer, thanks Tom. It is pitch black with a light brown, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice and light dark fruits. The flavour has a light sweetness, roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, light dark fruits and a slightly roasted bitterness. It is very nice and very harmonic!

Pours a mostly opaque oily dark mahogany with a thin, wispy-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty malty notes with a touch of drier, earthy roasty character. Body starts a little thin for an imperial stout with some mild sweetness and drier, earthy, toasty character before a dry, grainy finish. Needs more fullness and complexity.

Bottle… March 08 Tampa Bay Tasting... Black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, khaki head. Great retention. The aroma offers plenty of chocolate with undertones of cola and ginger. Burnt, minerally and metallic. Full-bodied and silky with medium carbonation. Over attenuated. Bone-dry with bitter chocolate and acrid, burnt coffee. Singed, bitter finish. Bottle provided by jayg!

22oz bottle-pours a rich brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-rich/chocolate/molasses, dark fruit, some astringent. Taste is dark malt-chocolate/molasses, astringent/medicinal/chalky, slightly sour dark fruit. Mouth feel finishes dusty. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.
