Copper colored with a thick off-white head with some of it sticking around and nice lacing. There’s some piney hops, only mild bitterness and balanced by caramel malts which are most noticeable in the finish and aftertaste. Nothing complex or too exciting here and seemed a bit under-hopped for an IPA. Definitely not bad though. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Aroma is a sour malt scent with just a hint of hops. Color is a bright clear gold with very good carbonation and a thick head. Taste is hoppy and peppery. Starting with medium body it goes down crisp. Finish comes in with a little malt and a bold spicy hop flavor that ends with a pepper taste and a mellow bitterness. After taste is clean yet dry as the spicy taste builds a bit. This is a tasty, easy drinking brew and is a different take on an IPA. pumpmaster (481), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear bubbly orange-copper with an average size diminishing white head. Mild aroma of resiny hops, sweet malt and citrus fruit. Flavour follows the aroma with resiny hops, citrus fruit and sweet malt -- flavour could be a little hoppier initially, the hops are mainly in the finish. Decent bitter finish. Average bodied.
Doesn’t blow me away but still a good IPA. ucusty (1908), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Pale orange pour. Actually this was a little disapointing. Not very well balanced and too sililar to a pale ale. enginaaron (73), San Diego, California, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Pale orange color, rather clear. Sharp palate but a poor and harsh taste on the throat. Aroma is horrible... a bad sort of bitter. Taste was worse. In my opinion this been never should’ve been made... horrible. Bring out the tar and feathers!! Nik925 (305), California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Alcohol dominates smell, taste is suprisingly minimal, light and fruity and REALLY thin, a double recipie would compare to a big (single) IPA.
I feel like I should add a point or two for their corp. ideology, but I wont. (its pretty awesome though, 4 day work week, go party and extreme sport all weekend).
Also, I want another "Slipknot" Full Sail, that was awesome, but had one with out knowing what it was till later. raphael (419), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2008 High pitched aroma—grapefruit, lemon, oatmeal, powdered sugar. Light amber with thin head. Stinging in thw mouth, fuzzies the tongue. Flavor that ventures toward the sour without grapefruit rind or metallic, but still a question of balance, a little caramel in the background
