Jan 22, 2008 Updated: Oct 17, 2008This is a good, full-bodied IPA, although still not really what I would choose to have. It is deep, coppery amber with a medium off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin foam ring but surprisingly leaves some very nice lace down the glass.The aroma is wonderful: sweet malty, yeasty bread, citrusy and flowery hops, a hint of rosewater, a caramel. The taste is much more hoppy, as expected, but relatively smooth and balanced with malty body for the style, making it more complex and interesting. It’s bitter but not super bitter and has good sweet caramel malty traits and the finish, while bitter and hoppy, has a lightly caramel grain element and a hints of rasewater, too, along with pine and citrus. It’s interesting and possibly my favourite IPA, but I’m just not a big IPA person.

Jan 16, 2008 12oz bottle. pours a very nice amber flavor with a good frothy head. smells of a bold almost robust hoppiness but then the initial taste doesnt leave me with a heavy hop hangover.. it is bold and hints of earthy, piney, chewy hops dance on my palate.. very good IPA, very good.

Jan 13, 2008 Pours clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is toasty and has some citrus to it. Flavor is victory, biscuity and slightly nutty really a good amount of malt. Citrus hops with medium bitterness and a malty finish maybe even a touch of chocolate. More of a pale ale with the higher maltiness but a pretty good session IPA.

Jan 8, 2008 Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear copper color with a medium frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium citrus bitter and a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Jan 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine. Pours a nice amber color with a small white head. Aroma is light citrus, malts. Taste is sharp with hops, nice finish. Not too bad. An ’average’ IPA that there is nothing all that special about.

Dec 27, 2007 Amber-gold coloring with a medium head. Aroma is very earthy with some pale malt detectable. Flavor was dominated by earthy hops with some rough, but passable malt flavors. Not bad at all, I just wasn’t in the mood for an English style IPA while vacationing in the land of Pliny.

Dec 23, 2007 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malts, citrus hops, and some grassy tones. Flavor is pretty balanced with the hops not being overpowering. Has a decent bitter finish with a lingering flavor that is very nice.
