Commercial Description:
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It's a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn't bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

From 12oz Bottle. Pours a light golden amber color with a thin layer of nice white head. A clean, grassy hops aroma with a hint of grilled sweet corn highlights the bouquet, along with a hint of almonds. Relatively light bodied with a clean, refreshing carbonated mouthfeel. Pleasant amount of bitterness that lasts throughout the palate, never getting exceptionally powerful. Some gentle, biscuity malt characters are allowed to show through, giving it a bit of bready sweetness. This creates a nice, pleasant balance that clearly fits its English IPA description. Clean, refreshing finish of dandelion flowers.

Much better then the scores here indicate. Don’t expect a Pac NW hop bomb though. Chill haze amber, creamy off white head with great lacing. As it warmed, nice floraly perfume and grapefruit hop tones emerge with soft notes of pine and earth. A faint toasty caramel note plays out late. Well bittered up front with good earthy citrus flavors throughout, and a soft sweet malt character playing the background role. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, hoppy finish. I made it into my session ale during a week in Austin, and I would gladly do it again soon...

Bottle obtained in a trade with <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>DarkElf, thanks Stephen. Golden-orange in colour, dissipating white head, patchy lace. The flavour is slightly sweet, some light citrus hops and some caramel malts. The flavour was grassy, some citrus hops, light pine, caramel malt balance. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a lingering moderate bitterness, slightly dry.

Bottle from the Blue Max. This, along with Smuttynose IPA make me a true believer in this style.A mild hoppiness matched up with a perfect blend of malts have made this one of my favorite summer brews.Very refreshing and enjoyable

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained on a trip to Boulder Colorado. Tasted in a dimple mug. Appearance is rusty / abmer with initial big white head that subsides to thin wispyness. Cheescake like aroma with hints of grapefruit, citrus and flowery hops. Flavour is balanced, grapefruit bitterness upfront and in the finish but is complemented by a malty biscuit backbone that lingers sublime.

Clear, pale amber hue, bone white head, smallish but staying. Aroma: soft, and slightly hoppy, mostly soapy. Minor citrus, but any hoppy kick is muted, at best. Tasting it: nice hop attack on the palate, dry and brittle in the mouthfeel, before slowly fading back. Returns with each sip. Medium bodied, lingering hoppy finish. Gets juicier and brighter toward the end. Enjoyable texture. Nice taste. Feels dry-hopped, and I imagined if it weren’t, it wouldn’t be quite so enjoyable. Not bad, though, not bad at all.

Clear, golden amber, with wisps of white head tucked around the edges of the glass. Aroma is of citrusy Northwest-style hops. Flavor is an initial burst of hop tang, which then gives way the a nutty, biscuity middle.. Finishes with surprisingly strong bittering, with mild malty sweetness hanging on for the ride..

Golden color with a small head and nice lacing. I can smell citrus and some mild hop aroma. Medium to light body with a nice balance of sweetness and hops. It does leave a nice bitterness after every sip. Overall, this is a nice summer brew, but definitely not what I consider an IPA, it is lacking in the hops department.
