Commercial Description:
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It's a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn't bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

Golden amber colored pour with a small white head. Aroma is hoppy, taste is hops, citrus (grapefruit mostly), and some sweet malts. Smooth drinking and crisp finish.

Bottled. Has a floral aroma. Not highly hopped nor bitter, seems balanced, mild malty aftertaste. Seems to taste good while in my mouth, but doesn’t last long. Easy to drink. I would buy it again. ReRated on July 29th. I have been tasting alot of IPA’s, this is bunk and not good as many other sinlge IPA’s. For the intro hop person, maybe this will suffice, for a hophead, this is sharp and harsh.

Orange color with no head. Aroma is not very hoppy at all. Flavor tastes like an english pale ale except in the finish where the hops come out. Very odd for an oregon IPA.

Bottle purchased from Tops Liquors in Tempe, AZ. Earthy, piney, mild grapefruit in the aroma. Perhaps some floral notes are present as well. Filtered, transparent golden-orange color with an off-white/yellow head that is pretty small, with small lacing. Sweet, toasted graininess to start, turning more earthy, bitter-hopped dry flavor. Some floral hops linger in the finish. This beer is dry, but it still maintains a creamy mouthfeel. A nice session brew.

Hazy amber, small to moderate head. Aroma is very fruity, citrus and grapefruit. Enough caramel to keep it balanced. I really enjoyed the balance here. While it was the usual bitter finish, the alcohol and sweetness were both controlled well IMO. Didn’t notice the English hops though... doh. Why would a brewer in OREGON of all places use hops from England for their IPA?!

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with nice head that disappears rather quickly. Malts on the nose with a whisper of hops in the background. Flavors are apple cider with a slight bitterness. Maybe this is watery or maybe its smooth. Couldn’t decide, but this is a session brew.

Is something wrong with this IPA or have I just been spoiled. It looks good, smells good and even taste good but for some reason it’s just a little off. This could be a great beer.

they keep changing the label on full sail. i guess i like what they have decided on for now. country scene of nature around the neck of the bottle is nice. this poured golden brown with a small white head that didnt realy develop or last. nose of thin hops and cut grass. flavor spills over into mostly hop flavored water that turn metallic without the appropriate amt of roasted malt to compete.. thin backbone. but easy drinkn beer.
