Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus and had a smokey-earthiness to it (kinda of a bizzarre aroma that I couldn’t nail down). Tastes of oranges and sweet malts. Bitterness was on the light side as was the body. Oakes (8101), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2005 Very bright golden-amber colour. The aroma is orangey, biscuity, kumquaty with a breadcrusty background. Mild hop-accented character with an ashy, slighlty astringent bitterness, mere hints of orange and a firm but simplistic pale malt note. A very basic, serviceable IPA but nothing more. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Bottle. Honey body with a foamy head with alot of lacing. Nose-very hoppy-almost sickly sweet so. Taste-usual IPA things, classic PNW sticky resiny hops, citrus from the hops, good amount of bitter. I don’t know-I think that the bitter, sweet, and malt is damn near perfect. I don’t understand why this isn’t rated a bit higher. An excellent IPA. Rastacouere (5559), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Pale very clear pour, golden and producing a tiny white sheet of foam that concentrates on the glass sides. Straightforward hop aromatics jingle through floral and citrus fruit dominants (tangerine, peach juice). Fresh nature, underwhelming malts stay shy and cornered. Fair PNW bitterness, absent alcohol feel. Very active carbonation ensures the food pairing claims, cleansing the tongue effectively, and remaining easy to drink with its thin body characteristic. I’ve probably had almost the same beer under 20+ different names, but it’s a clean if basic hardworker. How they make english hops feel american in essence, only them know. dpointer74 (16), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2005 This is a respectable IPA, but the hops overpower the malts a bit too much for my taste. OldMrCrow (1197), Seattle, Washington, USA

A straightfoward IPA with a more English than PacNW flavor. The malts round out the taste; the mouthfeel is very good. y0cola (361), fremont, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 11, 2005 This beer has an excellent aroma profile. A sweet hoppy nose complemented nicely by just enough malt. Beer is light and easy to drink which makes it great for a hot day. Not much bitterness for an IPA though.
