Commercial Description:
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It's a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn't bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

This beer has an excellent aroma profile. A sweet hoppy nose complemented nicely by just enough malt. Beer is light and easy to drink which makes it great for a hot day. Not much bitterness for an IPA though.

Pours a clear light copper color with a frothy, yet thin, pale tan colored head. The aroma has notes of bright citrus, a grassy herbal character, a bit of astringent grain husk, toasty malt notes and perhaps a hint of caramel. The taste has a nice sharp bitterness from beginning to end. This is definitely a hop focused beer; there is a nice citrus note here that reminds me of lemons & oranges. There is only a hint of malt character here; a bit of sweet grain character, and a hint of toasted malt in the finish. This is a pretty nice, easy drinking IPA; it has a solid hop bite and a bit of hop flavor to it, and it goes down quite easily. If the malt character were a bit more complex the hop flavor might shine through a bit more.

Pours a light orange/yellow color. Aroma is somewhat pinelike. Slightly bitter maltiness. Somewhat bitter malty flavor with a hint of graininess. Not a great IPA. My bottle was 6.0%.

12 oz bottle. Aromas were lacking as well as the flavor. Bitter flavor, but I don’t think it was hoppy bitterness. Nice looking bottle though.

Bottle poured a nice gold amber with a smallish head. Light citrus, hops aroma . Flavor is a little bitter, citrus with a bland bitter finish. Not the best IPA I’ve ever had.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Very bland overall, almost no aroma to speak of with only a slight hop bitterness in the finish.

On draught at Falling Rock, 9/30/2005. Served in a shaker, it has a light peach-fuzz yellow color to it, with a smattering of white head atop, not very abundant and recedes to a ring fairly quickly. Beer is clear, with moderate sized bubbles rising. Aroma has a nice, soft yellow fruits and light pale malt sugariness. Light tangerines, nectarines, peaches and fresh apricot juice, with an aromatic floral nature. Overall, not a tremendously strong aroma. Flavor continues with the fruit, adding more tangerines and nectarines, with a medium to medium-light body, gentle and supportive of the moderate hops. A moderate carbonation, lively, touch watery texture confirm that this is indeed a simple, session ipa. Not too dry or too bland, however, the hops are refreshing and present enough to satisfy me.
