Oct 12, 2005 On draught at Falling Rock, 9/30/2005. Served in a shaker, it has a light peach-fuzz yellow color to it, with a smattering of white head atop, not very abundant and recedes to a ring fairly quickly. Beer is clear, with moderate sized bubbles rising. Aroma has a nice, soft yellow fruits and light pale malt sugariness. Light tangerines, nectarines, peaches and fresh apricot juice, with an aromatic floral nature. Overall, not a tremendously strong aroma. Flavor continues with the fruit, adding more tangerines and nectarines, with a medium to medium-light body, gentle and supportive of the moderate hops. A moderate carbonation, lively, touch watery texture confirm that this is indeed a simple, session ipa. Not too dry or too bland, however, the hops are refreshing and present enough to satisfy me.

Oct 10, 2005 bottle. rubber aroma. dark yellow see through pour with lively bubbles and a fluffy pillow of a white head. the aroma is not pleasant. kind of a tree bark rubber/ eraser smell to it. hot pepper taste that bites. citrus hop flavor comes through with a sweet lemon finish with caramel lingering long after the spice dies down. once i adjust to the spice this isn’t bad, but it takes some getting used to.

Sep 19, 2005 Can smell the spicy notes from the start. Copper color body with decent head. Flavor of the hops and spicy tones. Man fell like I got some pepper on the palate. Better go get a palate cleaner. This would probly go good with a steak on the grill

Sep 16, 2005 Thanks to wohlfs for hooking a beer-loving brother up with some brews from the Upper West Side!
Pours a sparkling copper body and a bountiful and resilient cream hued foam. The aroma is piney and spicy with hops. Flavor brings some caramel yet it is somewhat overrun by a fairly acidic and astringent metallic hoppyness… I was expecting far more form this IPA. The finish is crisp and DRY…. bitter with the acidity and rendering of grapefruit peels!
Definitely not my favorite of IPA’s!

Sep 9, 2005 This was a good sitting around drinking beer. I liked the rich flavor which caught me by surprise. The overall flavor was a good clean crispness. I did feel there was a hop flavor missing in an IPA I should have a strong finish in my mouth. I would have another if I was thirsty and it was offered.

Sep 5, 2005 This is rather light in aroma and appearance. This is definitely different from many IPAs I’ve had. Hops are really only found in the end, with a light lager/amber ale hint in the body. A nice finish, but mostly an under-par IPA.

Sep 4, 2005 Clear garnet with a standing white head. Distinct spicy English hop aroma with some woody notes. Some toffee also. Sticky and puckering in hop flavor with a long bitter finish. Dry. Could maybe use a bigger malt flavor but nice anyway.
