RSRIZZO (1022), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 18, 2008 Aroma is a sour malt scent with just a hint of hops. Color is a bright clear gold with very good carbonation and a thick head. Taste is hoppy and peppery. Starting with medium body it goes down crisp. Finish comes in with a little malt and a bold spicy hop flavor that ends with a pepper taste and a mellow bitterness. After taste is clean yet dry as the spicy taste builds a bit. This is a tasty, easy drinking brew and is a different take on an IPA.
Lt_Dan (64), Greater Los Angeles Area, California, USA Oct 1, 2008 A very easy going IPA. Hoppy enough to put it in the west coast IPA category, but not very bold. This would be a great IPA for a newbie to get their feet wet into a hoppy bitter beer. heemer77 (3773), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 25, 2008 Dark amber colored body with a lightly off white head. The aroma has lots of grapefruit and some wood. There is also some bread crust. The taste is somewhat bitter with grapefruit and almond shells. There is also some light iced tea in the finish. Decent, but this one lacks balls. pellegjr (5), , Ohio, USA does not count Sep 20, 2008 Pale copper color with frothy quickly-receding head, minimal aroma with only the thinnest threads of hoppiness, moderately aggressive hop to nose and body with lingering hop finish, smooth and quaffable but a thin profile AllAboutStout (523), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 20, 2008 Pours a very light amber in color with a nice inch of frothy head. Smell is mostly spicy with some more spiced malts and then some bittering hops at the end. The hops in this beer are neither floral or citrusy. Just bittering and bitter. Makes the beer appear to be old, stale and or mistreated. I guess that’s the English style IPA. Nothing tastes off or infected. Just very low profile. daknole (838), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 12, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine. Crystal clear amber pour with a white head. Aroma is good enough with some floral hops, malt, and maybe some grain. Flavor is disappointing, more like a pale ale. Not enough going on with this one.
