Pours a bright orange-red color; patchy off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Sticky sweet candy sugar and dried fruits in the aroma; almost a touch buttery, creamy. Relaxed carbonation; quite drinkable. Medium mouthfeel: sticky dried fruits and sugar upfront; a touch of mineral bitterness and breadiness coming through mid-palate and in the finish; some bread and toastiness. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA

Rich and malty all over, the Full Sail house character is really evident, and I’m a big fan of it. Chewy, resinous nuts, wood, dried leaves, with caramel malt and munich malt abounding, and a light, proper bitterness level that really compliments the malt base. Fresh and vibrant, really overall a solid effort. Delicious, and based on the ratings, underappreciated.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Updated: Mar 5, 2008Pours a clear, dark brown with no head. Armoa is light and lagarish, but not unpleasant. Flavor is balanced towards the malty side, with hints of raisins and roasted nuts. Little if any hop profile, which suits me fine. Palate is heavier and finishes drier than expected. Overall a decent lager. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2008 12 oz bottle from Irishboy. Sweet, grainy, corn, toffee, cola and caramel aroma. Quite grainy in fact. Like an mix of corn and wheat soaked in sugar water for a week. Pours a decent looking dark copper with a white head of decent retention. Standard dunkel on the tongue: sweeter malt, lightly toasted bread, toasted cashews. An odd seaweed note, though distracts. Not nearly as sweet as the nose would lead me to believe. Medium bodied. Finish is rather watery. colts9016 (198), Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Pours a dark copper brown color. The nose is toasted malts, chocolate, with hints of citrus and yeast. The taste is a fuller body but watery at times. It doesn’t taste like a dunkel, more like an Amber lager with some hops. Overall it is a good beer but, I question its style. HomeBrewHawk (279), De Soto, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 19, 2008 12 oz. brown bottle served in a shaker pint. Pours a dark copper with about a finger of very fine bubbled white head. Head dissipated quickly. Good looking beer. Plenty of carbonation.
Caramel and malt sweetness in the aroma. Very clean. Medium to light bodied. On the malty side, but not terribly complex. Not a lot of bitterness, but there is a good fresh hop flavor. Very easy drinking. It’s a solid American Lager. ajolly2 (127), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Very pleasing amber color; thin but clunky off-white head; lacking in complexity as far as dunkels go; too watery in the mouthfeel; the alcohol plays stronger than what the 6.4% what lead you to believe; nice balance of malts and hops; caramel in the nose and on the tongue; it fails as a dunkel but in general it’s a good-tasting beer with the right amount of drinkability.
