Strong, inviting aroma has a mouth-watering overtone of roast corn. It pours a clear coppery amber with a nice thick off-white head that sticks around a while. Flavor is rich and malty with hints of cloves and cinnamon, caramel, and corn, as well as a hint of hops and just a whisper of sweetness. Texture is fizzy and smooth, rather pleasing. Satisfying overall.

Nice toasty brown color. The beer has a nice thin head sitting Fairly pungent malt smell. This beer looks and smells fairly good. A little on the watery side. Of course, I get that toasted, butterish taste. This beer just lacks the body to carry the flavors. Nice sweet taste, but as many have noted this has a pretty dry finish as well. The aroma is stronger than the taste. The taste is just kind of short lived, if you ask me. I think this beer could be a lot better if they honed in on the palate and the flavor; those two aspects of this beer are lagging.

12 oz. Clear, copper-brown with a small ring of bubbles. Aroma of toasted walnut, toffee and cocoa. Flavors of caramel, tartish apple, light cocoa and oak. Medium body is smoothly carbonated and acidic-tingly and slightly roasty-dry.

12 oz. bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a deep, dark mehogany-hued body with a modestly-sized, ivory-colored head. Smell: Pleasantly aromatic maltiness with notes of toasted bread crusts, nuts, dark caramel candy, and a teeny tiny pinch of cocoa, supported by a spicy hop scent. Taste: Toasty, nutty, caramel-covered malts with a toothsome, sugar sweetness. Nearly indistinguishable cocoa hint. Lightly spicy hop character with a mild, subdued bitterness. Sweetish, lightly nutty finish, though the aftertaste dries out in a flash. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Yes, there’s just a pinch of chewiness to it. Drinkability: Recommended! Rather enjoyable and a pleasant surprise. I could cheerfully clear through a few of these in one sitting.

12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a clear medium/ dark amber with a small off white head. Nice roasty and malty flavor and aroma. A great session beer, not much more, the LTD 02 was better.

12-ounce bottle in Albuquerque. Pours a very clear dark amber. Slight white head, fine bubbles, viscus lace. Big malty aroma. Medium body, nice malty, nutty, slightly raisiny flavor with slight underlying hop flavor and bitterness. Very clean. Late dry finish. Nice.

Bottle form the Utah Stat Store. Pours a dark amber color with a small white head. The aroma is mostly lots of toasted malts, some light fruits. A sweet nutty flavor, lots of malts, toasted flavors, some berries also. Very smooth and full flavored.
