| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Bottle, pours a copper-orange body with off-white/yellow head. Head disappears rather quickly. Aroma of malts, sour bread, caramel, and a hint of spice. Medium to light bodied; a little watery on the finish. Flavors of sweet malts, sugar, caramel, and biscuit. Fairly clean finish with a slightly sticky sweet aftertaste. robforbes (1105), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Medium, creamy yellowish head, slightly irregular; well-carbonated light amber-brown beer. Bready nose, melanoidins, wet wood. Spicy, in a Coca-Cola way. Much drier taste than the nose suggests, precious little restsugars, and a bitterish, more or less hoppy finish. BUT! There’s no doubt there’s diacetyl n here, and if in a dark beer that overshadows the melanoidins instead of blending, there must be a lot. Bit like a herbal stomachbitter, very watered-down. Light to medium bodied. Not bad after all, but a bit too exuberant on the diacetyl. Thankee, DaveDave! cstuartj (326), Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Bottle. Semi disappointing. Pours a dark amber with a big head made of rather large bubbles, didn’t lace much on the glass. Nose is very sweet, some citrus, and another quality that was strong but I couldn’t place and seemed ’unbeer like’. taste was sweet and malty but not balanced well and finish was slightly acidic. not horrible but not good either. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Bottle from Bev Mo LTD series # 1. Creates a normal color that you could expect from a beer but with slight tint of brown and a short lived layer of fizzed foam. The aroma was dull and had a minor presence of malt. The flavor was even blander and had a sugary artificial sweetener taste that really made me not want to drink anymore. It will be a hard choice whether or not I am going to buy the series # 2 since this one was a waste of money. killjoy966 (227), Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 25, 2008 Pours an incredibly dark amber from the bottle. Smells a bit nutty. Fairly straightforward with a funky little finish. Kind of like wood chips. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2008 This was a nice little surprise. Roasty malt aroma which goes a little candied. Orangey-brown brew, nice head, functional label. Very easy drinking, rich but not bitter. Well balanced, leaning sweet, and you could quaff down a few without much aftertaste. Medium-heavy body, sweetish finish. Really tastes a lot like one of those west coast APA/brown hybrids, further hybridized with lager. Thanks a lot to Brent P for smuggling this one in from some place.
