(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, orangey brown with an off-white head. Clean aroma of roasted malt. The body is medium with a very clean and smooth mouthfeel, flavours of roasted malt without much sweetness really. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. Not really a great beer by any means, but well crafted indeed. 280307

12oz bottle. Bottle labeled enjoy by 052007 (damn, I thought I just bought this one). Poured a deep orange, with a brown tinit, color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, some citrus, nuts, and light chocolate. Tastes of light chocolate, caramel, toast, and grains. Some lacing left on the glass.

Bottle… Clear amber ale with copper highlights and a small, fizzy, white head. Roasted aroma with notes of caramel and toffee. Medium-bodied with intermediate carbonation. Toasted, bittersweet, caramel malt flavor. Slightly more sweet than bitter. Caramelized finish. Thanks to mgumby10 for sharing!

Bottle sampled on 2/13/07: Pours a clear copper bronze with a thin, spotty-lacing off-white head. Sweet, lightly caramel malty aroma has some toasty grainy notes and lager yeast. Body starts fairly full and slightly caramely sweet with some earthy pale malty notes and lager yeasty presence. True to style, but pretty bland.

Medium, creamy yellowish head, slightly irregular; well-carbonated light amber-brown beer. Bready nose, melanoidins, wet wood. Spicy, in a Coca-Cola way. Much drier taste than the nose suggests, precious little restsugars, and a bitterish, more or less hoppy finish. BUT! There’s no doubt there’s diacetyl n here, and if in a dark beer that overshadows the melanoidins instead of blending, there must be a lot. Bit like a herbal stomachbitter, very watered-down. Light to medium bodied. Not bad after all, but a bit too exuberant on the diacetyl. Thankee, DaveDave!

12oz bottle, BBD April 2008. Rich and malty all over, the Full Sail house character is really evident, and I’m a big fan of it. Chewy, resinous nuts, wood, dried leaves, with caramel malt and munich malt abounding, and a light, proper bitterness level that really compliments the malt base. Fresh and vibrant, really overall a solid effort. Delicious, and based on the ratings, underappreciated.

Bottle: Amber color, creamy head, a bit o lacing. Nose of light malt and toast, clean noble hops and a rich bran and rice husk note. The flavor is well bodied, clean and surprisingly toasty and flavorful for a lager. Nice sweet finish and kind of a fun idea.
