Semi clear amber with a decent white head and some lacing. Smell is sweet dough - almost like sourdough bread. Flavor is sweet and almost hoppy but yet has this ammonia hint to it that I am not a big fan of. Medium gauze-like mouthfeel. GAManiac (1179), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2008 Pours a crystal clear, bubbly golden amber with a very small white head that actually hold on for quite a while around the edges. Lacing is minimal. The aroma is fairly heavy on the sweet caramel malts with a bit of toasted grain in the background. There is a minimal citrus hop whiff as it warms. The taste is a bigger version of the smell with a big malt sweetness up front with toasted malts and grains in the middle that leaves a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. I also got a little bit of nuts in the finish. Mouthfeel is light, but much creamier than most lagers I’ve had with strong carbonation. This is a really well crafted lager and makes for a great summer brew. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 9, 2008 Pours a light amber color with minimal head and/or bubbliness. Aroma is a light maltiness, a hint of the hops, mostly sweetness... Flavors were similarly straightforward, but pretty "full-on". Sweet caramel malts, only a touch of bitterness, a nice balance, very very drinkable. Overall a great beer, not all that exciting, but when you want something straightforward, this would be a good choice... OldMrCrow (1198), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours a warm amber orange, mild lager aroma, sweet caramel malt and too much stewed corn, too sweet and vegetal. I’m not nearly as impressed as the majority of previous raters. kamish (92), Lake Stevens, Washington, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Solid beer. Pours light amber, small, quickly dissipating head. Strong malty aroma. Great, balanced taste. The hops come through just a bit, giving most of the flavor to the malt, medium body, well carbonated. Not an overwhelmingly impressive beer, but it’s quite tasty.
