Ivory head that was mostly lasting, fair amount of lacing, no carbonation observed, transparent, and a golden hue. Nose was malty, hoppy, and caramel. Malty, lightly hoppy flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. Nothing outstanding with this brew and could use more flavor as it was rather dull and boring. Ughsmash (4058), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Bottled. Poured clear medium golden with just a little white head. The aroma picked up a very pleasant blend of sweet bready malts, honey, and a bit of lemon zest.. a little warmth brought out some corn. The flavor was similar.. corn and bready malts on the darker, yet sweet base.. herbal and lemony hoppage accent, leaving a sticky, bready finish. Lighter-bodied with decent balance on the palate.. nice, refreshing brew. Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA

Pours a golden color with a loud fizzy offwhite head that dissapates quickly to a faint rim. Nose is fruity (hints of cherry), grassy and mild hops. Initial taste is again that fruity character overlayed with candied sugar. Moving into a mid palate of toasted malts. Finishing with grapefruit hops on the sides of the tongue. Average palate duration. Dry chalky finish. Medium body. asedzie (456), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours copper with medium off-white head. Doughy aroma with very light herbal hops. Flavor is caramel malt, hint of alcohol flavor gives it a bit of aggressiveness. Finish has a touch of prickly bitterness, hop resin and very mild alcohol burn. Very good, lightly hoppy, substantial lager. Tripplebrew (496), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA

Flavor has undertones of bourbon-like sweetness. I had this last year and remember it tasting better than this. Disappointed. zebracakes (1216), Washington DC, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2007 From IrishBoy via trade. The pour was an ever so slightly cloudy copper color with a decent one-finger white head that coughed up the occassional ring of lacing. The aroma was light grassy hops, sweet malt and faint spice. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, with fresh cut grass combining with some sugar and even some creamy butter. The mouthfeel is non-offensive, the finish is fairly crisp. Not bad.
