12 oz bottle served in pilsner glass. Pale golden color with a thick white, pillowy head that never completely fades. Heavy carbonation. Crisp citrus aroma accompanied with what I call “characteristic lager aroma”, as I don’t have a better description. Some creaminess in the mouthfeel, but watery overall. Sweet, peppery flavors up front, with a crisp hop aftertaste and a lingering bitterness. I think Full Sail achieved what they were going for – a pilsner. Nothing complex, and I wish it was a bit more full-bodied, but there’s really nothing wrong with this beer.

I am not sure why I got this, and really I wasn’t impressed. As a far as a description goes this is what I wrote "meh, meh, meh".

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cereal), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers), with light notes of soap and DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A little dirty (in both nose and aftertaste) and too sweet. Meh.

Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a thick and lacy white head. Mostly bread in the aroma. Medium body and full carbonation. Lightly sweet taste of honey on bread, with a crisp and earthy hop finish.

pours golden w/ a good head that recedes slowly to a fluffy lace. Malty aromas. Full and soft on the palate w/ exceptional bittering. The finish lingers and bitters nicely.

Color is a bright deep gold with low carbonation and thin head. Aroma is a tart scent of grain and corn. Taste is crisp and bitter. Starting with a lighter body it goes down crisp. Finish jumps out bitter with an odd sour grain taste. After taste is clean as the bitterness fads into a faint sweetness. Overall its not bad just not a brew nor style I like much.

Pours a straw-golden hue with thin white head that dissipates, brilliant clarity. Nose is subtle, mostly pilsner malts, bread, and light floral/grass. Flavor is sweeter than most pilsners, hints of honey and sweetbreads, medium hop bitterness and flavor. Light-medium body is thicker than most pilsners as is the thick chewy texture, moderate carbonation. An interesting American Pilsner with body, heft, and flavor that would make the macrobrews shudder, but still in the high average range of beers, very drinkable and refreshing.

The limited edition series keeps getting better and better i.e. it keeps getting higher ratings. A pilsner? Oh yeah! A nice dark gold color. Looks pretty good. Nice crisp sweet honey aroma. Very nice aroma for this beer. The awesome aroma doesn’t continue on with the flavor. Slight bitter flavor. Slight sweet honey flavor. Not a very complex flavor. A not so creamy beer. Nothing horrible about the palate, but it is not amazing. Overall, some decent hops and honey flavors, but nothign extraordinarily complex. Pretty good brew.
