Had back-to-back with a PBR, which really highlighted how much better this is than a crappy macro. Pours golden and clear with a decent white head. Aroma is grainy with no adjuncts and a whisper of floral hoppiness. Grassy grainy flavor with some crackery malt and a little sweetness. Refreshing mouthfeel, very drinkable.

Pours a nice golden color with lots of bubbles and a big semi-loose fluffy white head that leaves some good lace. Lemon zest, hay, some floral notes, and some fruity/grainy maltiness. Man that is a different pilsner! The malt is very doughy with a distinct light sweetness. The bitterness borders on being harsh almost medicinal but falls short of turning off the palate entirely. There is a nice hoppy bite to this that is lightly herbal and has some citrus rind. I could session the hell out of this one.

Local bottle. Better than expected honestly. Pretty classic pilsner across the board. Gotta agree with the "spicy hops" from the description. Maybe not as crisp as I hoped (more doughy) but certainly more flavourful than is typical.

Disappointed in this as the last LTD I enjoyed quite a bit. Hazy gold body with a thin white head. Flavor has a harsh grainy note to it, bready towards the finish with a hint of honey. Hops spicy and a bit lemony. Overall lacked the crispness and cleanness of a good pils.

Sampled on 12/8/2009. This pilsner pours a medium yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal malts and spicy hops, slightly sweet. A medium bodied pilsner. The malts are cereal and bready. The hops are spicy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. A nice crisp and clean pilsner. A great balance between the malts and the hops. Wish more pilsners tasted like this one. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

12 oz bottle. Pours a translucent gold color with a small white head that has poor retention. The aroma is mild with some canned corn and sweet malts. The flavor is much better than the aroma, some light fruits, spicy grains, mild hops and a bit of biscuit. The palate was light and crisp with lively carbonation. The finish was short and clean.Overall: A pleasant enough beer but not outstanding.

Poured with a deep golden color. Mousey small head that dissipated quickly. Aroma that of spicy hops web site lists Sterling as hops. Mild to noticeable amount of DMS in the aroma that came though in the flavor as well. Bright carbonation that gave a little bit of a bite to the beer, along with the listed 35 IBUs gave this beer a noticeable bitterness. Some spicy hop flavor appeared near the end of the bottle. Bready malt flavors came though with the 100% 2-row beer. DMS takes away from the flavor of a beer that otherwise would be a very drinkable beer.

Bottle. Dark yellow body with a one finger white head. Faint aroma of grain, and a little spicy hops. Flavor is much stronger with grainy sweetness, grassy, floral and spicy hops. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side and a little watery at times but not too bad. Finishes fairly clean. A decent pilsner.

12oz bottle. Pours a medium gold with a small white head and very little lace. Aroma is grassy and floral. Taste is slightly spicy and biscuity. The finish leaves a dull sour taste on the tongue.
