Big caramel malty flavor, some hops, cinnamon and sweetness. The taste is definitely hoppy with a huge, caramel malt flavor. with a slight bitterness mostly the way through. There is a little mild tartness to it that came through, which wasnt the best feature of this brew, but wasnt enough to make it bad. Decent. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 18, 2007 NOt bad, but not very impressive for a brewery who has proven they can make exciting beers. Aroma is mostly malt, and sweet rather than a roasted character. Some hops in the flavor, as well as medium sweet malt. Thicker than a standard amber, but not so interesting.
