OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Jul 16, 2007 [Bottle, thanks Skyview] Poured red with a medium light tan head. Spicy aroma. Hoppy, fruity taste with low bitterness. Pretty good. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2007 thanks once again to skyview for sharing. Nice caramel malt nose. Faint amber color with minimal head. Sweet caramel malt flavor. Skyview (4003), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 14, 2007 Picked up a 22-oz bottle via trade with chriso420 at the Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon. Pours a clear dark golden amber brew with an average off-white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film. Nice lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, toasted oatmeal cookies, with a touch of earthy flower hops. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of sweet caramel malt, citrus zest and an earthy hop bitterness. Finish is dry with a green vegetable aftertaste. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 13, 2007 Muchas gracias Skyview. Copper color with a medium head. Big hop aroma with spices (cinnamon?). Very vegetal taste. Possibly fresh hop. Spicy malt. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA Jul 13, 2007 Thanks to skyview. Pours a very burnt amber red. Very sweet malt on the nose with hints of floral aromatics. Nice toffee like sweetness on the front palate proceeded by a bitter floral finish. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 9, 2007 22 oz. bottle in San Francisco. Light brown, orange color with a light beige head. Aroma was of light malt but mostly of light to medium hoppiness. Malty smell kicked in a bit more as it warmed. Taste is smooth, and mostly quite hoppy but not excessive. A touch of malt flavor but not much. Kind of like a weak IPA, but more drinkable if you can’t handle the high bitter levels. Decent, but I wouldn’t feel like I was missing out if I didn’t come across this beer again. hayduke (1618), Eureka, California, USA Jul 9, 2007 Updated: May 12, 2009From a 22 oz bottle this poured a copper to red with nice fat off-white head and moderate lacing. Nose was caramel malts with some light grassy hops. Mouthfeel light and a bit thin. Flavor was malts and hops, with a little fruit. Not much finish. A drinkable but undistinguished amber; waolsen (1218), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jul 8, 2007 bottle. copper/brown pour with thin off white frothy head. nutty carmel, grassy hop aroma. a bit watery. grassy, earthy hops, nutty malts. disappointing from full sail.
