Bottled. Beer is clear, medium warm-brown colored. Head is initially small, off-white, diminishes into a healthy ring.
The aroma is hoppy with moderate notes of resin/pine, light notes of grapefruit and lemon zest; Malty with a light note of toasted grain, moderate notes of shortbread and caramel; Yeasty with a light, pungent note of moldy basement and a trace of dough.
The flavor is lightly bitter, light-to-moderately sweet, lightly acidic with a long, light-to-moderately acidic and bitter, lightly sweet finish.
The body is medium, the texture is watery-to-velvety and the carbonation is lively.

Bomber

Pours a nice red with a modest hop aroma and flavor and reasonable share of caramel; while it is enjoyable enough, the overall impression is too close to a watered-down Lagunitas brew to be make much of an impression on me.

Dark amber good head. Sweet malt aroma. Sharp hop bite at the finish. Slight floral and cotton candy sweetness in the taste. A bit too sweet for my liking.

June 2007 - Deep amber color with smallish head, little to no lace. Odd sweet malty flavor. Same oddness in the flavor, don’t know what it is. Sweet and bitter, pretty good, actually. Very unique brew...worth having. Nice mouthfeel.

Amber in color with average sized off brown head. Nice notes of fruit with some carmalized sugar. Toasty and malty up front then the hops start to take over. Finish is dry and clean.

Has kind of a dark amberish pour, with a small frothy head. Has a toffee and caramel malt type thing mixed with a bit of fruit bread, some sweet figs and prunes, perhaps some apple skins as well. Not really enough of a push by the hops, it could be a little more assertive. Still enjoyable and easy to drink, just a slight bit unbalanced. Not really sure where they were going with this one.
