| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 30, 2007 22-oz bottle. Pours sparkling amber with an average rocky off-white head, mostly lasting, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, meal), heavy hops (grass, flowers, pine) and average yeast (sweat). Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Short duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness; raw hop and husky grain flavor. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 18, 2007 NOt bad, but not very impressive for a brewery who has proven they can make exciting beers. Aroma is mostly malt, and sweet rather than a roasted character. Some hops in the flavor, as well as medium sweet malt. Thicker than a standard amber, but not so interesting. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Bottle. Reddish amber with a tan head. Low malty aroma with some citrus hops. Caramel and toasted malt flavor with some backing berry that finishes with some citrus hops. Malty, citrus lingers. Medium body. Easy drinking. Good flavor. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Nice little hoppy red siding more with being a session beer then the red IPAs that have shown up all over the place. Sweet citrus hop nose. Caramel and slightly fruity body with a very crisp hop finish. Not overly bitter or overpowered with hops, more balanced and drinkable. I really enjoyed this beer, would be great as a new bottled release. after4ever (2828), Brier, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 4, 2007 22. Pours deep dark amber but crystal clear with a towering off-white sudsy head. Leaves a bit of lace here and there on the way down. Smells nice and clean and grassy--very light and seems to promise refreshment. Watery, bland, and nearly still attack, though. Blah. A bit of sour aluminum, no mid-palate to speak of, no finish. Pretty much a loss. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 18, 2007 Aroma is mostly citrus and earth. Pours a dark amber/red that is somewhat hazy. Flavor is citrus hops out front, followed by some mild sweet earth and toffee/caramel. Medium bodied. Went down relatively. Somewhat resiny and dry. Middle of the road.
