Body is clear dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin, flowers). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Just another hop-centric brew, but pretty decent in the mouth experience...well balanced and a pleasant texture. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2007 A dark amber appearance. The aroma consists of toffee, caramel, and faint citrus showing. The flavor is rather malty with some toffee. A little bit of citrus, lemons and oranges, are in there as well. The finish is slightly sour. Overall it was ok. grant (792), Colorado Springs, CO, Colorado, USA

Farily fruity with some dark toffee notes. Has a very woody/earthy hops aroma. Fairly dry body with nuttiness, banana, and and mostly crystal malt backdrop with a touch of roasted malt thrown in. Finishes moderately bitter, with a slight bit of astingentness. tomciccateri (514), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
