Nose is hoppy and citrus fruit with a balanced malt presence. Taste is more floral in hops, but has citrus and caramel malt present too. I was quite happy with this offering from Full Sail. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Aroma is a nice hop scent. Color is a full amber with ok carbonation and a nice head. Taste is malt with a mild bitterness. Starting with a medium body it goes down easy with a malty flavor coming in and hop flavor and bitterness right on top of it. This is a well done beer where the hops and malt seem to come out at the same time. Buddahchild (28), Littleton, Colorado, USA

Would to see this with more alc. and aged in bourbon barrels! beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Sweet citrus hop nose. Caramel and slightly fruity body with a very crisp hop finish. Not overly bitter or overpowered with hops, more balanced and drinkable. I really enjoyed this beer, would be great as a new bottled release. unclemattie (2437), Georgia, USA

Small, rimming beige head. Nose is huge caramel with chocolate and toffee, slight butter nose. Tast is caramel and butterscotch candies, bleeding into a hop-centric bitter middle and end. Good earthy hop flavor that lingers well into the after. Nice full mouthfee and tasty. Good red.
